H. Jared Murphy II, Esq. is an associate with the law firm of Cutolo Barros LLC and concentrates his practice in the areas of insurance defense and community association law.
Mr. Murphy graduated from Clemson University in 2008, with a B.S. in Economics, and from Florida Coastal School of Law in 2011. While attending law school, Jared served as a Student Advocate in the Disability and Benefits Clinic, President of the FCSL chapter of the American Association for Justice, and as a Legislator of the FCSL Student Bar Association. Mr. Murphy also served as a judicial intern for the Superior Court of New Jersey, Somerset Vicinage, during law school. He graduated from Florida Coastal with Pro Bono Honors, having completed over 100 hours of pro bono service in a legal setting.
Mr. Murphy went on to serve as a judicial law clerk for the Hon. Anthony J. Mellaci, Jr. (Ret.) for the 2012-2013 term. As a law clerk, Jared mediated small claims cases, managed the Court’s motion calendar, and prepared legal memoranda for the Court in connection with dispositive motions.
Since his clerkship, Jared has primarily focused his practice on defending clients in personal injury and construction defect matters, at the Trial and Appellate level.
Mr. Murphy is licensed to practice law in the State and District Courts of New Jersey. He is actively involved in his community, and currently serves as the Exalted Ruler for the Benevolent and Protective Order of the Elks, Eatontown Lodge.
