The Firm’s landlord-tenant practice group focuses on protecting landlords’ rights and complying with related duties under New Jersey laws governing commercial and residential tenancies.  We assist landlords on all aspects of landlord-tenant matters, including but not limited to, drafting and negotiating leases, enforcing terms contained within any leases, and pursuing eviction.  Further, the landlord-tenant practice group is uniquely situated to work with the Firm’s commercial litigation group for complex commercial contract negotiation/litigation and collections practice group to collect on any damages arising out of the lease.

While working closing with the landlord, we will develop a strategy contingent on both the relevant facts and objectives of the client.  If the objective is to compel the tenant’s compliance with the lease and save the relationship with the tenant, we will take a more measured approach to protect our client’s financial and business interests.  If the objective is to terminate the landlord-tenant relationship, then we will obtain possession of the property and proceed with all legal remedies afforded under New Jersey Law.
